TIS THE SEASON!

Updated: Nov 22, 2022

The next two months are jam packed with holidays of all types and this is the time of year we

love best. We have already started shopping for Christmas/Channukah! It’s never too early to

start and avoid the crush of activity just before the big event. BLACK FRIDAY.

We are currently offering a 15% coupon off all items in our store (promo code: WINTERSALE22) ending on

November 30, 2022. We are working on a discount coupon for December. More on that next

month’s Blog.

We recently went to Carpinteria located in Southern California, one of our favorite places to

visit. This quaint little town is just South of Santa Barbara and is home to wonderful shops and

restaurants. It is very peaceful there and holds many memories for us of vacations past with our

families. This the beginning of the holiday season for us. We wish you the blessing of finding

such a place for your holiday kickoff. There is something for everyone here and all the

businesses are individually owned with many owners being women. A truly unique experience.

We started the day with lunch at the Nutbelly Restaurant where we had delicious bruschetta and

pizza. Nutbelly never disappoints. We sat outside under an umbrella and contemplated our

shopping strategy. Of course, right next door to Nutbelly is Lost & Found. The selection and

types of merchandise offered at Lost & Found is varied, well priced and delightful, plus they gift

wrap. They also offer fresh baked items for sale in case you need an injection of sugar to keep

shopping.

Next stop was at Bon Fortune, a party shop extraordinaire. This shop carries party items that are

not found at any other stores. Plus they carry many giftable items for all occasions. The charm

of this store is in the merchandise, the atmosphere and the very large antique birdcage containing

happily chirping Finches. Oh my, the money we have dropped in this store.

Wherever you are located, spread your wings and explore areas that are new to you with

unexpected possibilities. We encourage you find your own Carpenteria. We realize that

shopping can be daunting and exhausting while traipsing through shopping malls, looking for

parking spaces or a place to rest your tired feet. We have learned in the last few years, especially

since COVID, that you can vary the places to shop. We have a mix of brick and mortar shops

and online shops that we visit. Both in tandem provide us with variety and rewarding

experiences. We are constantly updating our selections and specials and we encourage you to

make us one of your online experiences.
